Investment Insights - October 2022

Some news about us....

We are pleased to announce the merger of Personal Financial Services with JPH Capital. We will now be known as Yarra Lane Group.

For PFS Advisers and clients this represents both a natural progression given the growth in our business and the opportunity to enhance our advice and service offering while ensuring a long-term sustainable business model in an evolving regulatory landscape.   And for the newly formed Yarra Lane Group, the merger enhances and complements the existing wealth management division while broadening their capabilities and experience across the financial planning team.

Shane and I are pleased that we will continue to work together within the current team, as combined we have a wealth of knowledge and experience which will benefit our collective client base.

Capital gains tax can be tricky – when does it and when doesn’t it get applied? If this is a question that you’ve asked yourself before then this article may provide a little more clarity.

In our next addition of our newsletter we will be proud to reveal our new logo for Yarra Lane Group.

We love to hear from you, so please feel free to contact us with any questions about our articles in this newsletter on +61 3 9620 1642 or email

Kind regards,

Angela Martyn
